What is Wine Options?
Wine Options is a fun team event that was reportedly developed by one of Australia’s leading wine men, Len Evans OBE. In our version teams of 4 people are asked to answer 5 questions on each of the 8 wines (whites, rose & reds). Your team will select their answer from the options given for each question. The wines may originate from any country and be made from any grape variety. Wines can be expected to be good examples of country of origin and grape variety but may not necessarily be made from the major classical varieties. No prior wine tasting experience is necessary. Scoring will be explained more fully on the night.

More details: Here’s a bit more information so you know what you’re letting yourself in for! Wine Options is a game for everyone to enjoy even if they are new to wine and they really don’t know how to tell the difference between a Cabernet and a Shiraz (quite frankly neither do we when we can’t see the bottle!). In the Wine Options game a good guess is just as rewarding as one that is answered through knowledge and experience, especially if it is correct!
There are prizes to be won by the team that think up the catchiest name and also by the team who wears the best team costume. Some examples of team names: The Fabulous Four Fermenters, Hard Act to Swallow, Noble Rotters, Spitt-Hoons, Cork Suckers, Natural Born Swillers. Team name and costume prizes will be selected by a judging panel who will be open to bribes of expensive wine (just kidding!!!).
We have room for up to 8 teams of 4 people so there are only a limited number of places available. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

This event is suited for adults only.
Find your way:
Please consider appointing a designated driver or travelling by taxi. We’re only 10km from the Albany CBD. However, it is possible to play and drive if you use a spittoon (these will be provided at each table).
